The Now In Colour film festival was created after founder and current director Alicia began observing the difficulties of getting your films recognised and screened as an amateur filmmaker. Becoming more and more frustrated with the lack of spaces for inexperienced creatives to gain exposure, she decided to create one herself.

The first NICFEST, in march 2019, was a sold out success, and the talented film-makers who both entered and attended had an audience of 100 likeminded individuals to enjoy their creations, some for the first time ever.

NICFEST values originality, imagination and creating a safe, community-focused space, where everyone, regardless of experience, can share their creativity with the world.
